1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Azima application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Azima is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet that allows you to:
- Store, send, and receive cryptocurrency across multiple blockchains (Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin, Polygon)
- Swap tokens using third-party decentralized exchange protocols
- Purchase cryptocurrency using mobile money payment methods
- View and trade tokenized stocks
- Access crypto-backed lending services
3. Non-Custodial Nature
Azima is a non-custodial wallet. This means:
- You are solely responsible for safeguarding your private keys, seed phrases, and passwords.
- We cannot access, freeze, or recover your funds or private keys under any circumstances.
- If you lose your seed phrase, your funds are permanently inaccessible. We cannot help you recover them.
- We do not hold or control any cryptocurrency on your behalf.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Azima. By using the App, you represent that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction and that your use does not violate any applicable laws.
5. Risk Disclosure
Cryptocurrency involves significant risk. By using Azima, you acknowledge and accept:
- Cryptocurrency values are highly volatile and can lose value rapidly
- Blockchain transactions are irreversible once confirmed
- Smart contract interactions carry inherent risks including bugs and exploits
- Token swaps are subject to price slippage, failed transactions, and network congestion
- Tokenized stocks are synthetic assets and may not provide the same rights as traditional securities
- Mobile money conversions are subject to exchange rate fluctuations and payment processor availability
- Crypto-backed loans carry liquidation risk if collateral value decreases
- We make no guarantees regarding performance, availability, or accuracy of third-party services
You should never invest more than you can afford to lose. Azima does not provide financial, investment, or legal advice.
6. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use Azima to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Launder money or finance terrorism
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Attempt to exploit, hack, or reverse-engineer the App
- Interfere with the operation of the App or its infrastructure
- Use the App in any jurisdiction where cryptocurrency is prohibited
7. Third-Party Services
Azima integrates with third-party services including but not limited to Jupiter, 1inch, LiFi, Chainflip, Helius, Beyonic, and Firebase. These services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or practices of any third-party service.
8. Fees
Azima may charge service fees on certain transactions such as swaps, mobile money conversions, and lending services. All applicable fees are displayed before you confirm a transaction. Blockchain network fees (gas fees) are set by the respective networks and are outside our control.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Azima and its developers, officers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:
- Loss of funds, tokens, or cryptocurrency for any reason
- Losses caused by failed or delayed transactions
- Losses from price slippage, market volatility, or liquidation events
- Damages from unauthorized access to your device or wallet
- Losses from third-party service failures or exploits
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Azima and its team from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
11. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
