Azima (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Azima mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App.
Azima is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet. Your private keys are generated and stored exclusively on your device. We never have access to your private keys, seed phrases, or the ability to control your funds.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
- Phone number — Required only when using mobile money services (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money, M-Pesa) to buy or sell crypto. Your phone number is shared with our payment processor (Beyonic) to facilitate the transaction.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Wallet addresses — Your public blockchain addresses are transmitted to our servers to build transactions, check balances, and monitor transaction status. These are public by nature on their respective blockchains.
- Transaction data — Records of swaps, transfers, and other on-chain activities processed through our App are stored on our servers for order tracking and support.
- Device identifiers — Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics collect device identifiers (Firebase Installation ID), crash logs, and basic app performance diagnostics.
- App usage data — Firebase Analytics collects anonymized interaction data such as screen views and feature usage.
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Private keys or seed phrases
- Names, email addresses, or physical addresses
- Government-issued identification (no KYC)
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, or other device data
3. How We Use Your Information
- App functionality — To process transactions, display balances, execute swaps, and provide core wallet services.
- Mobile money transactions — To facilitate fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat conversions through our payment partners.
- Analytics — To understand usage patterns, diagnose bugs, and improve the App (via Firebase).
- Security and fraud prevention — To detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized activity.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Beyonic (payment processor) — Phone number and transaction details for mobile money transactions.
- Firebase / Google (analytics and crash reporting) — Anonymized device and usage data.
- Blockchain networks — Transaction data is broadcast to public blockchains by nature of how cryptocurrency works.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Data Security
All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). Your private keys are encrypted on your device and protected by biometric authentication when enabled. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect our server infrastructure.
6. Data Retention
Transaction records are retained for as long as your wallet is active and for a reasonable period afterward for support and legal compliance. Firebase analytics data is retained according to Google’s standard retention policies. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).
7. Children’s Privacy
Azima is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of analytics data collection by uninstalling the App

9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party blockchain services (Jupiter, 1inch, LiFi, Chainflip, Helius) to provide swap and transaction functionality. These services have their own privacy policies which we encourage you to review.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
